Frozen Yogurt Bites
We all love to indulge in a bowl of ice cream every now and then, but what if you could enjoy ice cream without worrying about the added sugar? Our homemade frozen yogurt bites are the perfect recipe for the whole family to enjoy.
There is no better way to treat yourself than with a bowl of cold ice cream. But store-bought ice cream is full of added sugars, artificial flavors and colors. A good alternative for ice cream is frozen yogurt, but much like ice cream, store bought frozen yogurts often contain added sugar and artificial flavors.
What if we told you that you can prepare frozen yogurt treats for your little ones at home? It is easy to prepare and far healthier than store bought alternatives.
What you need:
- Some moulds you can put in the freezer.
Are you ready to prepare these healthy treats?
The steps to prepare the treats are easy, and can be done in under 5 minutes.
- You start off by putting some yoghurt in the molds.
- Add the fruit (we chose frozen strawberries and raspberries).
- Now just add some more yoghurt to cover the fruit.
That was easy, right?
All you need to do now is put the moulds in the freezer and wait until they are rock hard! This usually takes around 3-5 hours depending on your freezer settings.
Your healthy hot day treats are ready to be served.
You can always add more fruit or different fruit, depending on your own taste. We did not use any sweetener because the fruit itself is sweet. If you want to have a sweeter treat we recommend you put some honey or maple syrup in the yogurt and mix it well before adding it in the moulds.
